Socos House of Eats is a true Southern treasure! I tried The Trooper, the Filet Breakfast special and The Egg Bowl—and every bite was better than the last. The filet was tender and perfectly seasoned, the egg bowl was hearty and flavorful, and The Trooper hit that perfect comfort food spot. On top of the amazing food, the service was warm, welcoming, and made you feel like family. Easily one of the best breakfast spots in Homosassa. Don’t miss it!

My husband and I stopped here on a whim after church. Sally served us some amazing shrimp and grits and a breakfast burrito. What a cute mom and pop place. Super friendly and great food. Support your local businesses. We will be back

The food here? Absolutely incredible. Every dish tasted like it was crafted with intention and passion—rich flavors, perfect textures, and just the right balance in every bite. You can tell they take real pride in what comes out of the kitchen. It’s the kind of meal that makes you pause and savor. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. It’s rare to find a place where every plate hits, but this one nailed it. Also worth mentioning—the woman who greeted us was incredibly kind. Not overbearing, just warm, welcoming, and clearly cares about the experience people have here. That small touch of genuine hospitality really tied it all together. If you’re looking for a place with top-tier food and a comfortable, friendly vibe, this is it.

It was our first visit to Socos & we were pleasantly surprised. It is a small restaurant, but the food and service were excellent. We had a group of four & one of our party had to send their blackened grouper sandwich back. It was so chewy that it couldn't even be cut with a knife. The waitress was so nice and brought out another grouper sandwich that was perfect and deducted it from our bill. Those kind of things happen occasionally & because of the way it was handled and the rest of our food being way above average, we definitely will be returning. The desserts are phenomenal & we heard the chef does "specials" on Fridays, but it is reservations only. It's definitely worth trying this restaurant, you will never meet a nicer family who run the restaurant. Highly recommend.

I just had lunch with my son and I had to shake the hand of the chef who prepared the food. Hands down best place to eat in citrus county. Their menu offers a variety of tasty home made farm fresh recipes. Cooked to perfection and plated with love. Some thing different and delicious. If you haven't been you must try.
